We work to elucidate how adverse experiences can become a predisposing factor for disease and we explore how experience in past generations can influence health and disease from early development to old age.
Focusing on a less studied aspect of the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease, we examine the role of non-coding RNAs in the protein misfolding and the formation of amyloid plaques, the hallmarks of the disease.
To improve cancer diagnosis and accelerate the development of therapies we identify novel cancer biomarkers and we study why cancers show resistance to radiotherapy.
